Join Us/Renew Membership

The Whitebark Pine Ecosystem Foundation consists of individuals and organizations who share a passion for the education and restoration of a unique high mountain ecosystem. Your membership helps contribute the support we need to meet our mission. We invite you to join us in these efforts.

Joining or renewing is easy! Just print off one of the following forms and follow the instructions.

     

Membership Categories

There are several different membership categories to choose from:

Whitebark Level: ($35)

The Whitebark Level is the regular annual membership level.

Nutcracker Level: ($75)

The Nutcracker Level is the sustaining annual membership level.

Grizzly Level: ($1000)

Membership at the Grizzly Level is a lifetime membership and subsequent annual dues are not assessed.

Institutional Level: ($150)

This category is designed for organizations such as companies, government offices, or universities with multiple individuals taking advantage of membership benefits.

Student Level: ($25)

The Student Level is designed for individuals who are currently enrolled in high school or college. Proof of enrollment, such as a copy of a Student ID card, must be submitted with the membership or renewal form.

Membership Benefits:

Members of the Foundation enjoy several benefits. Membership at all categories allows you to receive:

1) a subscription to Nutcracker Notes magazine,
2) a vote in elections,
3) participation in annual meetings, and
4) access to the members only area of the Foundation’s web site.

Initial membership at the Nutcracker, Grizzly, and Institutional levels also includes receiving a hardback copy of the Foundation’s book Whitebark Pine Communities: Ecology and Restoration.

Membership Recruitment

Current members are encouraged to recruit new members. Please use the new member form above when discussing membership with your colleagues, coworkers, and friends. Current members recruiting at least one new member will receive a discount on a Foundation baseball cap.

Membership Year:

The membership year is October 1 to September 30. Dues will not be prorated if a member joins in mid-year. Individuals joining prior to April 1 will be paid members through the end of the current year. Individuals joining on or after April 1 will be paid members through the next year. Examples:
1) Member joins on March 10, 2007 and is then paid up through September 30, 2007.
2) Member joins on April 20, 2007 and is then paid up through September 30, 2008.

Members who do not renew their membership by December 31 of each year will be dropped from the active rolls and cease to receive Nutcracker Notes (although they may still receive notices for the annual meeting and an occasional letter inviting them to rejoin). Renewal can be at any level the member is eligible for regardless of what was their initial membership level.

Note: The Whitebark Pine Ecosystem Foundation does NOT share its mailing lists with any other organization.
